Nymbus Privacy Policy

Effective October 12, 2026

The short version

Nymbus doesn't collect your data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and Nymbus has no server of its own. Your conversations go only to the AI servers and providers you connect, and everything else stays on your iPhone.

If we ever ask you to share data to help improve Nymbus, it will be your choice every time: you export it, you see exactly what's in it, and you decide whether to send it. Nothing is ever sent in the background.

Who we are

Nymbus is made by Mandelson Fleurival, an independent developer ("we" in this policy). Questions about this policy go to manny@mandelson.co.

What we don't collect

  • No account, name, email address or phone number.
  • No analytics, usage tracking or advertising identifiers.
  • No location.
  • No copies of your chats, files, prompts or API keys.
  • No third-party analytics, advertising or crash-reporting code inside the app.

Where your data goes when you use Nymbus

Nymbus is a client. It sends your requests only to the services you set up, and only when you use them:

  • Your own AI server. If you connect LM Studio on your own computer, your messages, attachments and agent activity go to that computer.
  • Cloud AI providers you add. If you add a key for OpenRouter, Requesty or Cerebras, the messages you send with those models go to that provider, and their privacy policy applies to them. Nymbus sends your key only to the provider it belongs to.
  • Agent tools. When an agent searches the web, its search terms go to DuckDuckGo. When it reads a web page, it requests that page from the website. If you add a Pexels or Unsplash key, image searches go to that service. If an agent uses the clipboard or device info tools, that information goes to the model you're chatting with.
  • A companion app on your own computer. If you pair Nymbus with a companion app you run yourself, chats and files you send to it go to that computer.

We don't see any of this traffic, and nothing passes through a server we run.

What stays on your iPhone

  • Your chats, workspaces and files, skills, rules, memories and usage statistics are stored on your device.
  • API keys are stored on your device and sent only to their own provider.
  • Voice dictation is transcribed on your device by Apple's speech recognition. Audio is not sent anywhere.
  • Nymbus only sees the photos and files you pick. It doesn't read your photo library.
  • Images you save go to your photo library only when you ask.

You can erase everything with Settings > Data Management > Clear All Data, or by deleting the app.

Data you may choose to share

Nymbus doesn't ask for any data today. In the future we may invite you to share some, for example:

  • examples of tasks and decisions, to train and test the small model Nymbus uses to choose how to handle a request;
  • crash reports and diagnostic logs, to fix bugs;
  • feedback on answers or features.

If we do, these rules apply:

  • Off by default, and always your choice. Nothing is shared unless you start it, each time.
  • Batches you can see. Nymbus exports the data to a file first. You can review it, remove anything you don't want to share, and then send it yourself.
  • Never in the background. No continuous collection, no tracking and no silent uploads.
  • Only what's needed. We'll leave out or strip details that identify you wherever we can, and say exactly what each export contains.
  • Only to improve Nymbus. Shared data is used to build, train, test and fix Nymbus. It is never sold, never used for advertising and never shared with anyone else, except service providers that store it for us under confidentiality.
  • Deletable. Email us and we'll delete what you sent. Data we use for training is kept only as long as it's useful, and we'll say for how long when we ask.

Before any sharing feature ships, we'll update this policy and the app's App Store privacy details to describe it.

Crash reports through Apple

If you've turned on "Share With App Developers" in your iPhone's Privacy & Security settings, Apple may share anonymous crash reports and usage data with us. Apple controls that setting and that data under its own privacy policy, and you can turn it off at any time.

Children

Nymbus isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

Because we don't hold your data, there's usually nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you've shared something with us, you can ask us to show it to you or delete it by emailing manny@mandelson.co. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA, and we'll honor them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the effective date above. If a change affects what Nymbus shares, we'll also tell you in the app before it takes effect.
