macOS
AI chat on an infinite canvas. Branch a conversation instead of losing it.
Requirements
What it does
Fork a reply into a new thread and keep both paths visible on the canvas.
Assign a different local model to each branch and compare them side by side.
Circle or point at what you're asking about, and the model sees what you see.
Charts, generated images, HTML, and quiz decks pin themselves into the surrounding space.
Runs against LM Studio on your machine and auto-archives to iCloud.
Overview
Every chat app is a single scrolling column. Ask a follow-up and the thread you were on is gone.
Nodebook puts conversations on a canvas as nodes. Fork any message into a new branch, run a different model on each one, and keep every path visible side by side. When you want to compare how two models answer the same question, you put them next to each other and look.
Local first
Nodebook talks to LM Studio on localhost:1234. Your conversations stay on your hardware. No account, no server, no per-token bill.
The app is signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple, so it installs like any other Mac app.
